Finca el Azahar

An oasis in the heart of Extremadura

Finca El Azahar is a rural house in Extremadura, a regenerative agriculture project, and an artists' residence.

Located in the Sierra de Serrezuela, just a few kilometers from Trujillo, in the province of Cáceres, the farm spans eight hectares of olive groves, vineyards, and fruit trees that we cultivate with care and respect. The rural house, which has a swimming pool, is situated in a typical 19th-century “lagar” from Extremadura and can be rented by the room or in its entirety.
Occasionally we host writers, artists, filmmakers... who find tranquility here to think and develop their works.

We want our guests to feel at home, to share with them the beauty and serenity of the place as well as the products of our farm, which are for us the luxury of this environment.

Dinners must be reserved at least one day in advance on the day of arrival and at breakfast during the stay…

Picnic to go

They are optional and require prior reservation at least one day in advance. Includes: two assorted sandwiches, a soft drink, a bottle of water and two pieces of fruit.

Experiencias en la finca

Un remanso de tranquilidad a 15’ de Trujillo. 5 habitaciones muy espaciosas y todas, junto a las zonas comunes, muy cómodas y con una decoración entre campestre y moderna pero con mucho gusto. Nos atendió Laura, un derroche de amabilidad y atención. Desayunos, picoteos, chimenea.. para unos días con familia o amigos, todo invita a repetir. Ya queremos volver.

Ha sido una experiencia maravillosa. Buscábamos descansar, tranquilidad y comer bien, y en la finca lo hemos tenido todo. Las habitaciones son amplias y para nuestra familia que somos dos adultos y dos niños ha sido muy cómodo. ¡Y qué cómodas las camas también! Laura y Ángela adaptaron el desayuno (abundante y rico) y la cena a nuestro tipo de dieta (vegana/vegetariana) y forma de comer. Ha sido como estar en una segunda casa donde puedes relajarte y dejar que te cuiden. Gracias a todo el equipo de Finca El Azahar 🙏🏾🌸

Estuvimos dos noches en Finca El Azahar y nos ha encantado. La casa y el entorno son preciosos. Todo muy bien pensado, cómodo y con detalles que marcan la diferencia. Dormir con los sonidos del campo y ver las estrellas ha sido una pasada. La comida sencilla pero buenísima. Laura nos cuidó desde el primer momento, siempre atenta y con una sonrisa. Sin duda, le damos un 5.

Lovely location - a finca with cottages in an olive grove. The finca was lovely. Great welcome from Laura. Spotless. Honesty bar! Lovely food - we had an evening meal and breakfast which was all home cooked and delicious. Great garden with fresh plums, pomegranates etc. I would stay again without any doubt.
