From the garden to the table

At Finca El Azahar we offer breakfasts, picnics, snacks and dinners for Finca El Azahar customers, prepared with local products and also from our orchard and fruit trees.

BREAKFASTS

Hours: 8:30 -10:30

Timetable: 8:30 -11:00 Breakfast is included in the price of the room (not included in the house rental option). It consists of toast, homemade sweets, fresh fruit juice, tea or coffee, fresh fruit, cold meats and local cheese.

SNACK FOODS

We have a menu with products from the land and from our vegetable garden. Guests can enjoy these snacks by taking a picnic basket prepared by us to their rooms or under the pergola, or in the dining room at dinner time. Within this menu we offer: soup, seasonal salad, cheese board, acorn-fed Iberian sausages from Extremadura's regenerative agriculture and some desserts.

Dinners

Opening hours: Monday to Saturday from 19:00pm to 21:00pm. We do not serve dinner on Sundays.
Dinners must be booked at least one day in advance on the day of arrival and at breakfast during your stay.
One day a week we offer a homemade menu with products mainly from our farm.
The rest of the days we can request a catering service from restaurants in the area.
We have a wine list of wines from Extremadura and organic or natural wines.

Pinic to take away

They are optional and require prior reservation at least one day in advance.
Includes: a sandwich, a soft drink (kombucha not included), a bottle of water and two pieces of fruit.

At Finca El Azahar, former Finca Santa Marta, we have welcomed travelers from all over the world who are passionate about ornithology for more than twenty years. The Finca has a strategic position on the migratory routes for bird watching and photography.
We can hire you an ornithological guide upon request.

At Finca El Azahar you can see a multitude of stars throughout the year. Thanks to its absence of light and cloud pollution, Extremadura is an astronomy paradise. We can hire you an astronomical guide upon request.
Finca El Azahar offers its clients the opportunity to get their hands dirty in the soil and manipulate horticultural plants with our garden manager. Classes are intended for people of all ages in private or group sessions. Short introduction of what permaculture means and its importance as a solution to mitigate climate change, plant vegetables, flowers, sow planting beds, fertilize the soil and harvest. Price: €15/person, one hour and a half of class. In groups of 6 or more people: €10/person. Season: spring and autumn.
The great landscape wealth around Finca El Azahar offers routes to explore on foot or by bicycle. At Finca El Azahar we offer a bicycle rental service, at a cost of €15/day.
