Visits
Trujillo
Only 10 minutes away from Finca El Azahar, the small monumental city of Trujillo, a
meeting point of races and cultures, surprises visitors with its Moorish remains, its
palaces, churches and its main square, one of the most beautiful in Spain.
Guadalupe
Just 50 minutes from Finca El Azahar, the Royal Monastery of Our Lady of
Guadalupe, an architectural monument declared a World Heritage Site, houses
artistic treasures such as the marvellous paintings in the sacristy by Francisco
Zurbarán.
Cáceres
Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Cáceres is just 40 minutes from Finca El
Azahar. It preserves one of the most impressive medieval and Renaissance
monuments in Europe.
Merida
A little less than an hour from Finca El Azahar, Mérida, a World Heritage Site, offers
an exceptional collection of Roman remains.
Monfrague
Situated one hour from Finca el Azahar, the Monfragüe National Park, crossed by
the Tagus and Tiétar rivers, is an exemplary example of Mediterranean woodland
conservation. It is also one of the most important pilgrimage centres for
ornithologists in our country.
La vera
A little less than an hour and a half from Finca El Azahar is the region of La Vera. It
offers beautiful landscapes of chestnut trees, oak trees, scrubland and pastures,
as well as picturesque villages. It is the ideal place for hiking and swimming on the
hottest days.
